School of Higher Education of Instituto Butantan (ESIB)

With the objective of articulating all the Butantan Institute's initiatives related to teaching, the School of Higher Education of Instituto Butantan – ESIB was created by decree on December 27, 2018. It carries out its actions and activities within its field of operation through the triad: Scientific Knowledge (Teaching and Research), Biotechnological Development, and Public Health Mission.

Among its activities, the following stand out:

  • Offering excellence in training for postgraduate professionals, graduates, and undergraduate students in the Butantan Institute's areas of knowledge and related fields.

  • Developing and implementing university extension programs and courses, professional training, scientific dissemination, as well as Lato Sensu and Stricto Sensu postgraduate programs (Specialization and Master's/Doctorate, respectively).

  • Promoting the dissemination of knowledge and fostering a constant commitment to community outreach services (extension).

  • Administering and supporting the coordination of in-service training programs, such as:

    • a. Mandatory curricular internships.

    • b. Scientific and technological initiation.

    • c. Postdoctoral fellowships.
